Wheat Germ and Honey Skin Cream

bullet2 teaspoons dried mint, sage, and rosemary
bullet1/2 ounce beeswax
bullet2 ounces lanolin
bullet1/2 cup wheat germ oil
bullet1 teaspoon honey
bullet1/2 cup boiling water
Put dried herbs in a cup or mug. Pour boiling water over and stir. Steep for ten minutes. Strain out the herbs and leave remaining "tea" to cool.
Melt beeswax and lanolin in heatproof glass in simmering water. Add the wheat germ oil.
Continue stirring and add the herb tea very slowly. Remove from heat and add honey.
Stir until creamy and transfer into containers.

This cream lasts about 3 months-longer if refrigerated. It is good for both mother and baby's over a year old. (Just in case...because of the added honey.)

Belly Oil

bullet1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
bullet1 tablespoon wheat germ oil
bullet2 tablespoons jojoba oil
bullet3 drops lavender essential oil
bullet3 drops tangerine essential oil
bullet3 drops rose geranium essential oil
bullet10 drops carrot seed oil
Mix all ingredients together. Shake before each use. Massage into belly area or anywhere skin is itchy or marked.

This blend of oils stops the itch from the stretching of skin-it may also minimize the appearance of stretch marks later.

Herb Balm for Baby

bullet1 cup sweet almond oil
bullet3 tablespoons dried lavender blossoms
bullet1 tablespoon dried calendula petals
bullet1 tablespoon dried rose petals
bullet1 teaspoon dried chamomile flowers
bullet2 tablespoons (10,000 IU) vitamin E oil
bullet1 1/2 teaspoons jojoba oil
bullet4 drops lavender essential oil
bullet5 tablespoons beeswax
Grind all dry ingredients finely and mix until uniform. Warm the almond oil in the top of a double boiler. Add the powdered herbs and cook over medium heat for 40 minutes.
Put vitamin E, jojoba and essential oil in glass bowl. Place a coffee filter inside a wire strainer. Hold this over the bowl and pour the oil/herb mixture to strain into the bowl.
Melt the beeswax and whisk slowly into oil mixture until thick.
Sterilize cosmetics or baby food jars. Fill jars. Keep one out for use and refrigerate the rest.

Use this balm on baby's bottom or any dry skin spots on hands and feet.

Use this soap for baby's bath to prevent or help heal diaper rash.
